Position : Head of SME – Al Khobar – Saudi Arabia
Company Brief:
Our client is a leading regional insurance group, seeking to recruit a “Head of SME” to be based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The position will be reporting to the “COO’.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s is a plus
• 3-5 years’ experience on Project Management role in start-up/tech industry, preferably with exposure to the SME sector
• Candidate needs to be creative, innovative and transformational in the field of insurance with a speciality in creating start up division within the company and the project management of transforming the Company’s operating model into a digital insurer.
• The role requires a hands-on approach, enjoyment for a complex multi-line portfolio management with a knack for running a P&L accountability of product, underwriting, actuary, IT, and sales & distribution.
• Having a clear vision is a must, and an analytical mindset and simplicity under pin their approach.
• Project management of establishing the division including setting goals and project roadmap execution.
• Recruiting smart calibre to support in establishing the division and ultimately driving the project goals
• Identifying and defining the SME sector through conducting market & survey research
• Development of SME staff skilled in portfolio Underwriting and fast turnaround time
• Working with the Company various departments on the creation of packaged SME products while having the awareness of all regulatory aspects required to get products approved by SAMA
• Working with Underwriting and Actuary on product pricing
• Identifying proper distribution channel & setting clear strategy for sales & distribution
• Strong communication & relationship building with strategic brokers, digital brokers, and affinity partners
• Understanding of business scalability and application of digital development to drive business/portfolio growth
• Design and track various projects and setting KPIs for the team
• Monitor status of milestones and deliverables across the project cycle, and report to the project steering committee on periodic basis
• Accountability for the divisions Portfolio P&L performance
