Position : General Technical Manager – Riyadh – Saudi Arabia
Company Brief:
Our client is a leading Insurance group in Saudi Arabia, seeking to recruit a “General Technical Manager” for their offices. The position will be reporting to the COO.
Job Requirements:
• Ensure that appropriate type of cover is being arranged with correct clauses and conditions
• Oversee implementation of work procedures relating to issuance of:
• New Policies
• Amendments to/ cancellation of existing policies
• Renewal of existing policies
• Oversee and manage assistance offered to clients with regard to claims reported
• Identify and analyze Risks associated with General Insurance policies
• Oversee and manage maintenance of data for generating Reports
• Verify and sign off Accounting documents relating to the transactions (Debit and Credit Notes, Payment requests)
• Oversee that reconciliation’ issues are properly addressed by the concerned staff
• Oversee implementation of work procedures relating to
• Registration of eligible claims and immediate notification to insurance companies
• Assistance to clients/ claimants in proper documentation of claims
• Following up with Loss Adjusters, Clients/ claimants and Insurance Companies for expeditious processing of claims
• Payment of the approved and agreed claim amount
• Review/ monitor outstanding claims and decide the action to be taken for their finalization
• Communicate with Clients/claimants, Loss Adjusters and Insurance companies where necessary
• Oversee and manage maintenance of data for generating Reports
• Verify and sign off claims settlement transaction documents (Credit Notes, Payment requests)
• Meet clients and address their concerns/ queries relating to insurance covers
• Suggest risk improvement measures, if warranted
• Recommend the appropriate types of insurance for adequate protection of the client’s financial interests
• Carry out Risks Inspection and prepare appropriate Risk Analysis for seeking support from insurance CompaniesExperience:
• 10 to 15 years of experience in the general insurance industry, of which at least 5 years at management level
• Proven leadership of an underwriting function within a regulated insurance company or division.
• Experience in the insurance law, particularly the interpretation of insurance contracts and legal disputes relating to contract wordings and reinsurance agreements.
• Ability to provide guidance and strategic direction as part of a senior leadership team to deliver on the robust growth of the business.
• Ability to interact and manage strong relationships within and outside the company.
• Experience in shaping the structure of the business to grow the breadth and depth of insured product portfolio.
• Commercially astute. Ability to deliver commercial solutions rather than just applying underwriting rules.
• Ability to take people along through persuasion, negotiation and ¡¥adding value¡¦.
• Excellent communication skill and ability to explain underwriting, claims and reinsurance complexities in business terms.
• Determination to succeed by establishing goals as integral and valued contributors to the success of the business.
• Adaptability and flexibility to the changes in the insurance industry.
• Ability to manage deadlines, set priorities and deliver cost effective solutions through balancing workload and the use of others.
• Ability to successfully manage marginal improvements to help profitability.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing leadership skills, with an ability to develop working relationship with a wide range of internal and external personnel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to think and act strategically and analytically.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word and Power Point..
